The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) is an immigration program established by the Canadian province of New Brunswick. This program seeks to attract skilled workers and entrepreneurs who can contribute to the province’s economic growth and development.

Through the NBPNP, individuals with relevant skills and experience may be nominated by the province for permanent residency in Canada. This nomination strengthens their application and increases their chances of successfully immigrating to New Brunswick.

The program offers various immigration streams tailored to specific needs and qualifications. These streams include Skilled Worker, Entrepreneur, and Graduate streams, each with its own eligibility criteria and application process.

Express
Entry Stream

The Express Entry Stream utilizes Canada’s federal Express Entry immigration system to identify and select skilled workers who align with New Brunswick’s specific labour market and demographic needs.
This stream operates through an “Expression of Interest” (EOI) model,
where applicants submit their profiles for review and potential nomination by the province.

Eligibility Requirements:

●     Active Express Entry Profile: You must have a valid Express Entry profile submitted to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

●     Job Seeker Validation or PGWP Eligibility: You must have either a Job Seeker Validation Code issued by IRCC or demonstrate proof of enrolment in a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP)-eligible program at a federally-designated post-secondary institution in Canada.

●     Current Residency in New Brunswick: You must be currently residing in New Brunswick at the time of applying.

●     Language Proficiency: You must have valid language test results demonstrating proficiency in either English or French equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 7.

Skilled Workers Stream

The Skilled Workers Stream is designed for individuals who have secure employment in New Brunswick and wish to immigrate there permanently. To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

●     Demonstrated Intent to Reside: You must provide evidence of your genuine intention to live and work in New Brunswick upon receiving permanent residence.

●     Valid Job Offer: You must have a full-time, permanent job offer from an authorized New Brunswick employer accompanied by a letter of support.

●     Minimum Education: You must possess at least a Canadian secondary (high school) diploma or a foreign equivalent recognized by Canada.

●     Age Requirement: You must be between 19 and 55 years old at the time of application.

●     Language Proficiency: You must demonstrate English or French language proficiency through valid test results equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 4.

Business Immigration Stream

The Business Immigration Stream welcomes
individuals who plan to establish and actively manage a business in New Brunswick, contributing to the province’s economic growth. Applicants are expected to make a significant financial investment in their business venture.

Eligibility Requirements:

●     Eligible Connection to New Brunswick: To submit an Expression of Interest, you must demonstrate a qualifying connection to New Brunswick, such as having family or previous work experience in the province.

●     Educational Qualification: You must possess at least one of the following:

○     A completed academic degree from a college or university requiring three years of full-time study.

○     A diploma in a specific trade requiring two years of full-time study.       

●     Financial Requirements: You must demonstrate a minimum personal net worth of $600,000 CAD, with at least $300,000 CAD readily available and accessible.

●     Age Requirement: You must be between 22 and 55 years old at the time of application.

●     Language Proficiency: You must demonstrate English or French language proficiency through valid test results equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5.

Strategic Initiative Stream

The Strategic Initiative Stream targets French-speaking workers with the skills, education, and experience to contribute to New Brunswick’s economy and who intend to live and work there permanently.

Eligibility Requirements:

●     Proven Intent to Reside: You must provide evidence of your genuine intention to live and work in New Brunswick upon receiving permanent residence.

●     Qualifying Connection to New Brunswick: You must demonstrate a qualifying connection to the province, such as having family or previous work experience there.

●     Minimum Education: You must possess at least a Canadian secondary (high school) diploma or a foreign equivalent recognized by Canada.

●     Settlement Funds: You must demonstrate sufficient financial resources to support yourself and any dependents upon arrival in New Brunswick.

●     Age Requirement: You must be between 19 and 55 years old at the time of application.

●     French Language Proficiency: You must demonstrate French language proficiency through valid test results equivalent to Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) Level 5.
